Biography


Carol Struve is a painter who makes prints and resides in Kingston, New York. Her works have been included in numerous regional and national exhibitions including solo exhibitions at A.I.R. Gallery in New York City and Talley Gallery, Bemidji State University MN. Select regional group exhibitions include the Van Brunt Gallery in Beacon, The Gallery at R & F Handmade Paints in Kingston, Wired Gallery in High Falls and the Steel Plant Gallery at Marist College. Carol served twice as a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship panelist and has been recipient of several grant awards and residencies including a Studio Fellowship at Women’s Studio Workshop, Rosendale NY. She was commissioned by The Hudson Valley Seed Company to create a design for a seed pack (Art Pack) and more recently is the recipient of the Robert Angeloch Award for Excellence in Printmaking from the Woodstock Artist Association. As director of Herter Art Gallery at UMASS Amherst, she curated over 34 exhibitions and since has curated exhibitions at other venues. Carol holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and MFA from University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has 20 years experience of teaching art to include UMASS Amherst, Bemidji State University MN, State University of New York at New Paltz and Dutchess Community College.
